5 New Skills I Learned as a Data Consultant in 2023

In the rapidly expanding data world of today, a data professional’s toolkit has to be ever-evolving. Gone are the days when you learned three core skills and you could cruise through a decade of career (you still can, but the question is, are you growing?).
Over the past few months, I looked back to compare the skills I learned in grad school to now, spending two years in the workforce, being a data consultant. I was content that I was leveraging every skill I learned at school and a few more. However, when you look outside your team and your organization, you realize the plethora of tools at your dispense out in the data world.
In the second half of the year, I had set my intentions to embark on a journey to learn new tools and skills. This blog highlights five major skills and/or tools I honed on as a data consultant and the ones that have helped me grow as a professional.
